Travellers Paradise is a Magnificent Historical, Heritage Place set amongst lush beautiful gardens. The buildings have very interesting Architecture of the Queenslander Style. Brilliant location, right next door to the Cairns Central Shopping Centre, including Coles Supermarket. 600 meters to the city centre and 800 meters to the superb Lagoon. Very peaceful, clean & spacious property with no bunk beds at all. Air conditioned rooms do not need coins to operate. Some rooms have ceilings up to 5 meters. Well equipped kitchen open 24 hours with free tea and coffee, Tv room, small library, large size pool, laundry facilities and unlimited internet connection. Extensive Tour Desk where we can show our guests all the Tours/Activities in our Tropical Paradise.
All in all we are very quiet, safe and very clean.

Our welcome to the hostel was very poor.
The guy was unfriendly, unhelpful and no empathy.
We booked the wrong date for the hostel so when we arrived, we were treated like idiots.
He knew that we had booked the wrong day but failed to tell us until we realized.
After that, 2 days later, we got the same greating. No smile.
The hostel is very clean and functional but the host spoils the stay. That's a shame.

J'avais commande un lit dans une chambre 8 lit et j'ai eu une chambre 2 lits a partager avec un canadien super sympa !

Juste un séjour d'une nuit et tout c'est très bien passé. Je suis arrivé après la fermeture de la réception mais j'ai eu facilement accès au clé, des gens sympas et un personnel souriant.
