Located in a city building with some interesting past occupants such as the first Rotorua shopping mall back in the 80’s and Inland Revenue Department head offices, Rock Solid Backpackers is re-opening on the local scene and is one of the more spacious hostels located in downtown Rotorua.
New owners and local couple Barry and Vanessa Miller’s vision is simply to make it the most popular hostel in town by providing a clean, modern, yet still inviting hostel and with facilities not usually found in inner city hostels, such as their large comfortable lounge with floor-to-ceiling viewing windows that overlook a 17 metre high rock climbing wall so you can get a bird’s-eye-view without leaving your sofa! After an adventure-filled day you can chill and relax watching DVDs or in their free Book Exchange reading snug or check out what’s on in the Basement Arts Cinema downstairs.
They also provide free WiFi, free pool/game table, free tea & coffee!

Convenable. Tout dépend du dortoir. Certains dortoirs sont modernes, propres avec des prises pour charger le téléphone, tandis que d’autres ont des lits très hauts, sans barrières et prise par personne… bien placé !
