Description de l’établissement
Before booking here, let us tell you something.
Wajakita Experience Hostel is a place where you come to meet people, to learn about the culture of the indigenous land we live and learn how to be respectful with other cultures different than yours.
We have three floors, one is an open space where people can join us and have a meal or a natural drink made of the local fruits and vegetables, the second one is for exclusive guest rooms and hostel beds and the third is a cultural terrasse available to relax and make special events. On Sundays we are all going to the Temazcal. So first we all meet on the artsy rooftop to learn about this traditional cleansing, where it comes from, what it means, etc. and then all walk together to the place.
What we want is to offer you an experience where you come and learn about something new, a new approach to this place called Zipolite.
Did you know that back in March 1970 there was an eclipse?
One of the best spots to watch was 4 hours away from Zipolite, and all the people who gathered at the event came down to the coast. Giving birth to Zipolite.
Alicia is an old woman who rents us the place and she witnessed the event and the arrival from all the new people as she tells in her stories. You’ll be able to meet here if you want to hear more stories!
Our purpose is to get you close to the community who needs the tourism to keep walking proudly on their land.
If you like this approach, this is your hostel!
We would be thrilled to receive you and make you part of this conscious way of tourism.
