Silo Design & Boutique Hostel features a restaurant with bar and terrace, as well as ateliers that are rented externally.
10 double rooms with private bathrooms and 10 four-bed dorms offer guests hostel living at a high level. Breakfast consists of fresh local delicacies and is included in every room rate. On Sunday, breakfast is extended to brunch until 2pm.
At lunchtime during the week, Silo offers refined vegetarian cooking.
In the evening, Plättli, salad and soup, comfort food and the vegetarian dish of the day are served.
To explore the Erlenmatt district, the nearby countryside or the city, guests can borrow bicycles.

Cancellation policy: 24h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
Staff on site: 7:00 am to 11:00 pm (daily) except Sunday : 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

This property pre-authorises your card prior to your arrival to secure your booking. They accept payment by cash, credit and debit cards.
City Tax for Basel is not included in the price. It is CHF 4.00 per person / night.

Ceux qui cherchent la grosse ambiance passez votre chemin (du moins en semaine, je ne peux me prononcer pour le wkend). Par contre si vous cherchez un lieu aussi calme qu atypique pour poser vos valises, vous ne pouvez pas trouver mieux. En plus c est incroyablement propre. Si le self check in/out face a une tablette est un peu impersonnel, le staff n est pas bien loin et ils sont serviables et souriants. Petit dej très chouette. Centre ville vite rejoint en transport en commun.

Very pretty hostel! Rooms with lots of space. Bathrooms with lots of showers abd toilets and very clean. Worth the price just for the DELICIOUS included breakfast! Be aware though if you want to check in late. Yes, it is self check in but if you come in late, you need a code to enter the building. You can call a number they give you to get it (which I couldn’t with the eSIM i had), there is no other way to enter the building. Thankfully I was lucky and someone was coming back and let me in!

We loved it!
The only thing that isn’t that great is that there is nobody a the reception but 2 machines and the self check in on those machines is a little bit confusing .. :)
