Guest House Gifu Hashima COCONE is a 3-minute walk from Shinkansen Gifu Hashima Station.
It is newly built in April of this year and is very beautiful. With 2 dormitories, 20 beds and 3 private rooms for up to 5 people , catering to a wide range of backpackers and families, it meets the needs of travelers.
Each private room is fully equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, toilet, TV, air conditioning, and can cater for your own meals. There are women only in the dormitory and women can stay with peace of mind. There is a shared lounge and a kitchen for self-catering.
1. Check-in time: from :from 15:00 to 22:00
When you request to leave your luggage before check in, it is possible only from 9:00 to 15:00.
2. Check-out time: by 10:00
3. Reception hour: from 15:00 to 22:00
4. Payment: cash (JPY) or credit cards (Visa, Master, and Amex)
5. Cancellation policy:
(1) 5 days(or more) before Arrival Date ：free
(2) less than 4 days before Arrival Date ：100％ of the first night
(3) on the day or No Show： 100％ of the first night

Very clean. Friendly staff. Very convenient for JR pass holders as it’s steps away from a Shinkansen station.

Aside from not there being much to do locally in the neighborhood, the staff itself is worth the visit. Hiko, the owner is always up for conversation and Mitsugu can and will help you with any other questions.
Get ready to have a chill night with a bottle of sake/shochu and a case of beers as Mitsugu openly welcomes the company of the patrons.
The place is spotlessly clean, comfortable and safe for your belongings, bikes free to use, parking available for 300¥/night.

More of a hotel vibe than a hostel, but saying that I got chatting to all the other guests and the staff during my one night’s stay. Good shower room and locket for valuables. Not much in the area though! There’s a 7 eleven nearby. Really enjoyed meeting people here and the staff were so lovely!
