L'auberge Insight est située dans le centre de retraite de méditation de Pimokemuk, un lieu propice au voyage en pleine conscience. I enjoyed my 2 night stay @ insight hostel. Wanted a quiet place just outside of Chiang Mai to relax and get away from the city centre. Was made to feel very welcome and had a very comfortable stay.

Stay at this hostel if you want a break from the old city. Beautiful and quiet location right near a Buddhist temple. The mountains are super close for going on hikes and the university and zoo are also nearby. There is also a huge night market for street food a short walk away. The owner was very nice and accomodating!

There was a latch lock on the outside of the bedroom doors (so someone could in theory lock you in your room)...There were about 30 beds and not one other soul on the property. I thing seemed to be around to walk to and I did not feel safe staying there. The guy at the desk did help me get a taxi to the hostel I ended up staying at, but I would not recommend and let Hostel World know they need to have the locks on the outside of the door removed, so no one can be locked inside the room.
