Hostel 77 Bern

We are located at the foot of Bern's local mountain the Gurten, only seven minutes from the main station. In the staff house of a former Hospital we have created a cozy hostel for guests from all over the world. You will start your day with a rich breakfast buffet with bread from the bakery next door, homemade Birchermüesli and Granola, organic milk, fine yogurt, cheese, fresh fruit and more. Vegan options are also available.
At our bar you can enjoy local beers, locally roasted coffee and hostelmade sweets from the hostel kitchen.
Hostel 77 has excellent public transport connections - with the Bern Ticket you can even travel for free. In no time you are in the medieval streets of the old town, on the blue-green Aare-river, on top of the Gurten or in the Rosengarten. As locals, we know Bern like the back of our hand and are happy to introduce you to our beautiful city and its proverbial coziness. Hostel 77 is your ideal starting point to discover Bern!

- Opening hours reception: 07:30 - 23:00, check-in 14:00 - 23:00, if you arrive later: Call us, our night porter* is there for you.

- Bed linen, Bern Ticket for free use of public transport in the city and breakfast are included in the price. Towels are provided in the single and double rooms. As a guest in a shared room you will receive a free towel at reception.

- You can leave your luggage free of charge in our luggage room before check-in and after check-out.

- You have access to Free Wifi in all areas of the hostel 77.

- Free lockers are available in every shared room.

- Our fully equipped guest kitchen is available until midnight.

- Washing machine and dryer are available for 7.- CHF.

- Paid parking (CHF 7.-/day) is available in front of Hostel 77 and you can park your bike for free.

- A garden terrace, ping-pong table, billiards and table football invite you to socialize and play.

- A limited number of handicapped accessible rooms and bathrooms are available on each floor.

- We can provide dinner for groups of 20 guests or more on request.


Tourist tax not included: adults 4.30 CHF; children up to 16 years 1.50 CHF per person/night.

We accept cash, all major credit cards, PostCard and Twint. This property may pre-authorize your card before arrival.
