Isla Luna Baru

Media Luna Baru is a nice hostel that offers its own Bar, Restaurant, Volleyball field, kayaks, SUP´s, snorkels and private beach!

We are located withinCorales del Rosario National Park on Baru island Cartagena-Bolivar, is a wonderful place known for its warm waters and mesmerizing corral reefs. Near by you’ll find mangroves, reflective pools and underwater gardens Imporntan notes:
* The Island is only accessible by boat; there are two main options:
• Take the boat in Cartagena, with an approximate journey of 50-minutes from the dock. (not available because pandemic)
• Take the boat at the pier of the town of Barú which is reached by land from Cartagena in approximately one hour, and take the boat that takes you up to our hostel within 10 minutes.
•We can also set up rides with private or public transport (taxis, all of which meet the appropriate biosecurity measures and standards) to the town of Baru and catch a boat ride there.
• You can also arrive in the town of Baru via personal vehicle, where you will be able to find open air parking, and from there we can set you up with a boat ride to the Island. This parking area does not belong to the hostel and therefore would have an additional cost.
•Our customers comfort is our top priority, this includes keeping costs low as well, which is why we recommend using our transportation service. In order for this to workout we ask you make your reservations at least one day in advance by email or via WhatsApp.
•Obeying Decree 0885 of 2016 of the Cartagena mayor's office, which prohibits the entry of food and beverages into the protected areas of the Corales del Rosario and San Bernardo National Natural Park. It is not allowed to enter food or drinks by our guests at Isla Luna Beach Hostel, only drinking water is allowed.
. You will enjoy the privacy and peacefulness of our hostel, our private beach located in Isla Baru in a beautiful beach called Playa Bobo. Media Luna Baru has double level cottages with one room on each floor and one bathroom to share with fresh water.
