Glenbrittle Youth Hostel is a Norwegian-style wooden building providing budget multi-share accommodation as well as private rooms. The youth hostel has a modern self-catering kitchen as well as plenty of dining space. It is equipped with a drying room and a homely shared lounge area adorned with old photographs of the surrounding area.
Glenbrittle Youth Hostel is set in rugged scenery, just over a mile from the beach it is also close to the magical Fairy Pools. For the ambitious mountaineer the Skye Munros and the Cuillin Ridge will provide the right playground. For a less strenuous pace there are coastal and low-level walks for all abilities and weather conditions, wildlife to watch, archaeological sites and geology to explore. The Talisker Distillery is about 7 miles from the youth hostel.

We had a memorable stay at Glenbrittle Youth Hostel, located right in the middle of mountains. You just wake up and when you open the door you're facing cascades, it's mind blowing! The staff was great too, special thanks to Benny who really helped us and was the kindest! Only downside would be that very few travelers actually addressed a word, like most of them wouldn't even respond to our hellos which was pretty surprising. Hard to access without a car, but great hitchhiking spot, shops 20 min

Very nice hostel located in a beautiful (and remote) part of the isle of Skye, near the magical Fairy Pools. Friendly staff. Nice and clean dorms. Perfect if you want to lay over after an hike from Sligachan to the Pools. And also just so you know, there is no connection for the cellphones.
