Marcelina was a really nice place to stay. It is three blocks from Termini and everything was very clean. The area isn't the nicest, but by no means is it bad. It was about a 15minute walk to the Coloseum and I really enjoyed my stay. To me, the most important thing is cleanliness. This place was really clean and spacious. I would absolutely stay there again, in fact I tried but they were booked!

The owner of this place was really nice and the place was well-kept and clean. The surrounding area isn't the prettiest, but there's a pretty good restaurant on the corner and easy access to the metro. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

I stayed in the 10 bedroom dorm so it wasn't surprising that it wasn't the cleanest. The bathrooms in our room and in the hallway were cleaned but had a perpetual bad smell. They have deals with the bar downstairs and the staff was really nice and helpful. Although internet didn't reach the rooms, there was a common area where it worked well. Not the best hostel I stayed at but maybe the smaller rooms are better.

The good thing about this hostel was the bar and the dinner buffet. The room was clean and spacious (I stayed in a 4-bed dorm) but the shared bathroom wasn't the best, the showers weren't the cleanest. I wouldn't stay here again because the location is further out than I would have liked, I had stayed at a more central hostel the night before for less money. When you factor the inconvenience factor of the bus with the 3ish euro you'll spend on it each day, it wasn't worth what I paid.

I would definitely stay here again. The owner was really nice and the location was perfect, literally 5 minutes from the Duomo. It was clean and my bed was comfortable. Know that if you book Maison on the website, you may end up in Queen's hostel (which is what happened to me). Queen's has just 2 bathrooms for a lot of people, the third floor (I assume the actual Maison) seems better. That info would have been nice beforehand but I had a great stay all the same.

If location is more important to you than personal space, this place will be just fine. The hostel is literally two rooms separated by a curtain (I know he has multiple apartments though so this may not be the case with the others). It isn't spacious, but is right on the cove of Riomaggiore and there's a small balcony. It's a 5-10 minute uphill hike if you want to use the internet. That being said, I thought it was a fine place to stay and had no problems while I was there.
