From Airport - the nearest airport is in the city of Temuco (111 km from Pucon). In Temuco you can take a bus or rent a car. Pucon has its own airport, which is about 5 miles from downtown, but it only works regularly in the summer (january and february).
By Bus - The bus companies that travel Santiago / Pucon are Turbus (the best one), Pullman and Buses JAC. Coming from Santiago are 10 hours of good trip, where it is advisable to travel at night, because the buses are very good and include bed and premium categories (where the seat reclines 180 degrees like a real bed).
By car or motorcycle - The distance between Santiago and Pucon is 789 kilometers and takes between 8 and 9 hours, depending on how many stops you make along the way. Remember that the speed limit on roads in Chile are between 100 and 120 km / h. For those who want to make the trip in two days, should spend the night in Chillan and continue to ride the next day.
To get to Pucon is very easy, because the road is very good, safe and has many gas stations. You must take the Ruta5 Sur (the famous Panamericana Highway), go straight south to reach the entrance of Temuco, pass directly without entering the city (way to Puerto Montt for the same Ruta5), go over a few kilometers and take the output Villarrica. When in Villarrica you will see signs informing the highway to Pucon. Drive more 22km and you will finally reach your destination.
